Below is my final piece.. a 6 panel album cover for the band 'The Wrecks', the album is called Collateral Damage.

Initially, I drew out this heart, added tone.
I scanned the heart into the computer and opened it into photoshop.
I changed the threshold of the image, changing it to black and white, whilst still showing the tone.
I then created the 'cross-heir' which i made out of 2 circles and with the pen tool.
I added the heart to the cross-heir, sending it behind the pen tool lines but in front of the opaque circle.
I ended up with this to add to my final piece.
After adding my created image, I then added the band name and the album title, which was written in the font 'Backstab', which i obtained from dafont.com
I then added these 'veins' to my piece, by drawing them out, scanning them into photoshop and once again changing the threshold.
After I added the veins, i put a grey colour overlay on them, and sent them behind my main image, and text. I did also, however, add them to the cross-heir. I then added the song list, repeated the title on the back, as well as adding a barcode and other information you would expect to find on a standard CD cover.
I then added the lyrics to all of the songs to the top right panel, and added an image of the band and the description of each member.
I also added the heart in the cross-heir again, fitting in place with where the CD would likely be, and i changed the opacity to 30%.
I then chose to change the colour scheme slightly by adding an orange colour to the veins, that orange would occur multiple times in the colour of my text also.
Next, I decided that the panel with the lyrics on was very text heavy, and also difficult to read, i then split the lyrics over two panels (the two panels are side by side after folding).
I later decided to centre align all of my text, and enlarge the song titles amongst the lyrics, which would help to define which song is which.
Below is what my final piece looks like once folded.
